1.Collection of personal data
The application does not collect, request or store any personal data that identifies you. No account creation, registration or sign-in is required to use it. No information such as name, email address, phone number or other contact details is collected, and no user profile is created.
2.Location data
The application uses your device's location solely to show you content and information relevant to the area where you are located, for example points of interest near you. Access to your location takes place only if you have granted the relevant permission through your device's operating system.
Your location is used locally and temporarily, while you are using the application. It is not stored on your device or on any servers of the Municipality, it is not linked to your identity, and it is not shared with third parties for marketing or profiling purposes. You may withdraw the location permission at any time through your device settings. In that case, certain location-dependent features of the application may not be available.
3.Permissions requested by the application
In order to function, the application may request the following permissions:
Location: to display information relevant to the area where you are located, as described above.
Internet access: to load the up-to-date content displayed in the application.
Granting these permissions is always at your discretion and can be changed through your device settings.
4.Third-party services
The application is distributed through Google Play. The distribution platform may collect certain technical and statistical information regarding application installations and usage, in accordance with its own privacy policy, which the Municipality of Xanthi does not have access to and does not control. 5.User rights
Since the application does not retain any personal data that identifies you, there is no processing record from which information could be retrieved or deleted. In any case, as a data subject you retain, where applicable, the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection and data portability, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (www.dpa.gr).
6.Minors
The application is intended for the general public and does not knowingly collect personal data from minors. As no personal data is collected from any user, use of the application by minors does not involve the processing of their personal data.
7.Security
The Municipality of Xanthi takes reasonable technical and organizational measures to ensure the secure operation of the application. As no personal user data is collected or stored, the risk associated with the processing of personal data through the application is substantially limited.
8.Content accuracy and limitation of liability
The Municipality of Xanthi, through the cooperation of the competent Services with the IT Department, makes every effort to ensure that the information and content displayed at any given time in the application and on the website oldtown.cityofxanthi.gr are as accurate, true and up to date as possible. The content (indicatively information, names, photographs, illustrations and data) and the services made available are provided "as is". Under no circumstances shall the Municipality of Xanthi be liable for any claims of a legal, civil or criminal nature, nor for any damage whatsoever (positive, special or consequential) suffered by the user of the application or the visitor of the aforementioned website.
9.Changes to this policy
The Municipality of Xanthi reserves the right to amend this Privacy Policy whenever necessary, for example due to changes in the operation of the application or in the legal framework. Each updated version will bear an updated date and will be available at the same address. We recommend that you review this page periodically.
