Art in today's Old Xanthi, through exhibitions
This route is about 1 km, about 50 minutes and of low difficulty. The visitor will have the opportunity to get to know places that gather the artistic wealth of the city of Xanthi. This short tour brings together exhibition and museum spaces as well as open spaces that can function as "open-air museums".

The route starts from a Mansion of Bey, where the General State Archives are housed, among others, and continues to the Chasirtzoglou Mansion, where the Lyceum of Greek Women is housed today. There, the visitor has the opportunity to visit, upon request, the Museum of Traditional Costume. Along the way, the House of Shadow gives a different tone of modern art, where the visitor comes into contact with the so-called "trash art".

The route includes two large exhibition spaces of the city, the Municipal Art Gallery (Kalevras Mansion) and the Folklore and Historical Museum of F.E.X. There the exhibits and paintings will highlight the artistic richness and beauty of the city, as depicted by its artists. This beauty will be experienced by the traveler passing by the picturesque Matsinis Square and the workshop of D. Stathopoulos.
