Brief documentation:

The building was built around 1906, by George Papadopoulos and his wife Kleoniki. It initially functioned as a residence and later had various uses. Since 1986, when it was bought by the Greek State and renovated, it houses the 5th Municipal Daycare Center of Xanthi.
The building is a two-story and stone-built building. It is of traditional style, with a simple appearance and without particular, decorative elements. It is characterized by neoclassical elements, symmetry and by the many windows it has. It consists of a semi-basement (visible on the side and back), ground floor and first floor. It has two reception rooms and twelve rooms. It has been repeatedly renovated and has undergone several changes, especially concerning the openings, since it initially functioned as a residence, while later it housed other uses. Another important change that was made was the opening of the entrance on the side of the square, as the entrance was originally through the side entrance through the courtyard.
