Dancing in squares and gardens!
The route is about 3 km long, lasts about 80 minutes and is of moderate difficulty.

Following it you will meet some of the cultural associations that are active in the old town of Xanthi and have dance groups and rich cultural activity throughout the year!

It will also accompany you to public places and squares, where small feasts are set up during the Old Town Festivals, so it is advisable to follow it in late August-early September. It will also accompany you to mansion gardens or amphitheatrical spots, where you can rest your gaze, while admiring the natural environment within the urban landscape or the beautiful panoramic view of the city and the plain of Xanthi!

93. Mavridis House

Brief documentation:

The building belongs to the family of Dimitris Mavridis and was built at an unknown date.
It is a two-storey building, which is characterized by neoclassical elements. It has a semi-basement, ground floor and one floor. The entrance to the building is through an imposing wooden door, which is surrounded by a simple white frame. To the right of the door on the ground floor there are two windows, with the space below them decorated with rectangular frames that try to lighten the space.
The façade has on the first floor an iron balcony just above the front door, which is supported by iron corbels with curved patterns. Next to the balcony, two windows are opened, under which a stepped cornice is formed, similar to the one that separates the two floors.
On either side of the openings of the floor elaborate false pilasters with false capitals are formed. Above them, a wide architrave is formed and then a ceiling cornice with special serrated decoration.
The windows of the semi-basement and the ground floor are protected by elaborate ironwork.
